Cape Cod Sand Candle are handmade. The wax is melted to a high temperature, then poured into wet sand from the beaches of Southern Cape Cod. The temperature difference causes the wax to adhere to the sand, causing unique shapes. The colors used are reminiscent of the beautiful sunsets and ocean water of Cape Cod.

The candle holder is made by hand. Steel is first placed into a form then bent to the desired shape, welded and painted.

Candles was founded by artist Jim Flanagan in September of 2004.Jim is a fine artist working in Fairhaven Massachusetts. He works in a number of different mediums and has shown his work in New England and New York.
